A crack in a busy New York City sidewalk that creates an interesting pattern , a handle on a old door, a veiled old woman with grey eyes, people doing every day tasks- these are the kind of photos I like to shoot. I also like to take pictures of nature and how they can create beautiful , artistic patterns. I love animals and feel that I have an unspoken connection with them which translates in my work.Taking travel photos from far away places excite me because through my eyes, I can take the viewer there. I also like to create surrealistic photos without using Photoshop- just getting the light or angle a specific way to trick the viewer's eye.I like to tell a story in the pictures I take. I want the viewer to understand an emotion or feeling I'm trying to transmit. I don't even like to crop my photos. What I see when take the shot is what the finished picture will be. I also like using my Canon point and shoot camera because I literally can take it everywhere to get a shot- anytime, anyplace. I'm not a photography snob. I want to get the shot .One of my favorite movies -Antonioni's "Blowup" with David Hemmings tells the story of a 1960's London fashion photographer and what he sees through the lense of his camera.
